At the Veterinary Mobility Center, our main focus is to increase a pets personal well-being. We can provide preventative care such as examinations, annual wellness exams and vaccinations. We focus on mobility and movement at our clinic so specific attention will be made to assess this as well. Your pet has individual needs and we will create a plan based on prevention and maintenance support. If you need help with any medical problem, we are here to help you.
We understand your pets health is your top priority - it is ours as well. Many movement and mobility issues have underlying internal causes. It is our job to examine your pets entire self to determine the best treatment plan. We use an INTEGRATIVE medical approach to care for your pet.
What is INTEGRATIVE medicine?
This means we utilize multiple areas of skills to best care for your animal. Skill sets could include western veterinary medicine, massage therapy, rehabilitation techniques, acupuncture, nutrition and supplements, and surgical intervention.
Our veterinarians will perform a complete medical examination to identify potential causes, and recommend further care and treatment.
The Veterinary Mobility Center is equipped with a digital xray system, allowing for high resolution images to help diagnose conditions in your pet. This system allows xrays to be taken quickly and efficiently, decreasing the amount of xray exposure to your pet and also decreasing the amount they are restrained. If needed, we can send the xrays to a veterinary specialist in radiology for further evaluation.
Our diagnostic ultrasound has arrived and we are very excited to offer this tool in assessing musculoskeletal ailments and providing ultrasound guided injections of PRP or stem cells. Ultrasound is a safe way to assess pictures of body structures by using sound waves. Often lesions in muscles, ligaments or tendons are underdiagnosed and left untreated since lesions do not show up on radiographs. This new tool will allow us to not only find the problematic lesion, but also assist in treating it as well!
A healthy mouth is vital for your pets health and welfare. A mouth that is chronically inflamed with painful teeth, bone loss and swollen gums creates chronic pain that can affect the entire body. A pet with infected teeth is painful and will not move well or eat well and this chronic state of inflammation affects the entire body. Our veterinarians can help assess your pets dental health and create customized recommendations on how to improve or maintain their dental hygiene.
Our dental unit is fully equipped to perform dental procedures ranging from routine cleanings to tooth extractions. Our digital dental xray system allows for more precise evaluation during these procedures to help optimize your pets dental health. We also utilize additional pain modalities, such as laser light therapy, PEMF technology, local dental blocks and acupuncture throughout the dental procedure to increase healing rate and comfort in the healing phase.
At the Veterinary Mobility Center, we believe that your pets nutrition is one of the most important factors for their wellbeing. Your pets diet can help prevent or improve certain health conditions. In fact, high body fat content in overweight pets is pro-inflammatory and can increase the pressure and inflammation on their joints.
Diet is not only the food your pet eats. We consider fatty acids, probotics and joint cartilage supplementation to be equally important. Our veterinarians and veterinary technicians are well trained to work with you and your pets dietary needs for optimal health and mobility.
The Veterinary Mobility Center has the ability to do a variety of diagnostic testing to help with your pets care. Our doctors are experienced at interpreting these additional tests, to help solve your pets medical problem. We can perform many diagnostic procedures including urine tests, bloodwork, x-rays and finding out what type of lump is growing on your pet! We utilize nearby diagnostic and speciality facilities to provide additional services and options for your pet.
You can provide your pet with permanent lifelong identification with a simple injection. A microchip - the size of a grain of rice - can be easily implanted under your pets skin by one of our trained staff members. This simple procedure can help maximize the chances of being reunited with your pet, in case they ever become lost!
Our clinic is equipped with a variety of medications to provide convenience and comfort for yourself and your pet. Our pharmacy is stocked with medications from trusted suppliers and stored in optimal environmental conditions. We also carry preventative medications such as deworming medications and flea and tick preventatives.
