Services
Once the exam has been done, we will provide treatment plans and goals of recovery. Treatment services, or 'modalities' are highly specialized and indications vary between conditions. Because every case is unique, so are the services we are able to recommend.

Acupuncture and electroacupuncture
Acupuncture involves the placement of needles in specific areas of the body to target musculoskeletal ailments.

Home Therapeutic Exercises
The goals of therapeutic exercises are to increase strength, mobility, endurance, and decrease pain.

Myofascial/Manual Therapy
Massage and manual therapy techniques can improve joint range of motion, increase circulation and enhance soft tissue mobility.

Sports Assessment and Conditioning
Athletic animal training and activities

Orthotic Braces and Prosthetics
Custom fit braces are a successful option for joint instability, ligament injury and partial limb amputations. Visit the Orthopet Canadian Prairies tab for more information.

Hydrotherapy
Hydrotherapy utilizes an underwater treadmill for gait retraining and low impact strengthening.

Pulsed Electrical Magnetic (PEMF) Therapy
PEMF utilizes bursts of low level electromagnetic radiation to decrease pain caused from injury and heal damaged tissue, muscle and bone.

Ultrasound Therapy
Ultrasound waves are produced by synthetic crystals that vibrate at a particular frequency which can, then, penetrate the skin.

Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS/NMES) Therapy
Electrical stimulation is the application of electrical impulses to muscles, stimulating contractions. It aids in pain management and prevents muscle atrophy (muscle loss).

Laser Therapy
Laser therapy uses light energy to reduce pain, increase metabolic activity, and facilitate healing.

Regenerative Medicine
Regenerative medicine is the use of the patients’ own platelets and/or stem cells to heal the body’s tendons, joints, and ligaments.
